Student Motivation

The Student Motivation Form (SMF) was designed to provide information based on self-reports of how students perceive themselves in terms of academic interests or skills. The SMF form was administered each spring as part of the assessment. Teachers were asked to complete a Student Rating Form (SRF) for each student for whom they filled out an instructional log. The SRF instrument gathers information on a student’s academic engagement, approaches to learning, problem behaviors (if any), and compensatory services received. Below are measures developed by SII researchers and Cronbach alpha reliability information. The SRF and SMF forms can be found here, and the data is available here.
